​West Liberty is a culturally rich community located 5 miles south of Interstate 80. West Liberty is proud to be in the Iowa City Cedar Rapids area. Located on Historic State Highway 6, West Liberty is about 15 miles from Iowa City and the University of Iowa.

Water – West Liberty operates a Grade 2 water treatment plant. The system is a reverse osmosis water treatment facility with the ability to process 750,00 gallons of soft water.
 
Wastewater – The City’s wastewater operation is large, due to the needs of our biggest employer. It is a Grade IV plant and is operated by CH2M HILL OMI.
 
Natural Gas – MidAmerican Energy is the natural gas provider. They have a vision to provide 100% renewable energy for their customers!
 
Gigabit Internet – Liberty Communications is the Gigabit Internet provider. They have multiple Tier 1 backbone connections using full BGP routes and multiple redundant transport rings.
